Caitlin & Peter Metzger are lifelong musicians eager to share their passion for music-making with their students. Caitlin

Caitlin grew up in Leo, IN, where she took up violin at age 8 and began piano at age 9. She played violin in the Ft. Wayne Youth Symphony from 2003-2004 and 2005-2007. Upon enrollment in Bethel College in 2007, she joined the Concert Choir, String Quartet, and Chamber Orchestra. She later joined the Percussion Ensemble, and was Concert Master of the orchestra during her senior year. Caitlin is a licensed teacher of kindergarten through sixth grade in the state of Indiana, having graduated from Bethel in 2011 with a major in elementary education and minors in music and Spanish. Her 18 years of playing experience with piano includes 10 years experience giving piano lessons, and she has provided violin instruction for 10 of her 19 years of playing. She also studied viola for three years during her time at Bethel College.

Peter

Peter grew up in Ottawa, OH, the son of a kindergarten-5th grade music teacher and pianist (his mother) and the pastor of a small local church (his father). Surrounded by music throughout his childhood, he displayed an affinity for musical expression from a young age and excitedly joined his school's band program in 5th grade, learning to play the saxophone. At age 13 Peter began teaching himself guitar, followed by electric bass two years later. In high school, he learned to play trombone for marching band and also took percussion lessons during his senior year. As a student at Bethel College ('10), he participated in Percussion Ensemble, Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble. Peter also received instruction in voice, double bass, electric bass, mellophone, baritone, and pedagogy for Brass, Percussion, Woodwinds, and Strings while at Bethel. He currently plays bass in regular rotation at Redeemer Missionary Church in South Bend, IN and was a part of the Notre Dame Summer Band in 2012.
